The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@MelTajon @Netlify There are several good choices IMO, but if the big ass websites you build are big in terms of the number of pages, then @GoHugoIO could be a good choice due to its rapid generation time.

This really is a rather wonderful post demonstrating a beautiful "metaball effect" with SVG and CSS by @winkerVSbecks

Not meatballs. Don't go there looking for meatballs.

I had so much fun chatting to @una and @chrisdhanaraj on their lovely @toolsday podcast.

And Una's intro song didn't make my eyes moist. Why would you even suggest that? https://twitter.com/specfm/status/971103112252370944

@rogie @mirshko @Netlify @contentful If you run a local build to gen your site, & that build slurps in content from APIs or data sources, you can run that same build within Netlify for the same result.

Throw in some webhooks to auto trigger your build when any of your sources update and things get dynamic fast.

@crgeary @Netlify Yeah, that split test cookie thing is not so much of a feature and more of a crafty use of the building blocks we have. When I heard how my fellow @Netlify-ers used that feature I just had to share.

@crgeary @Netlify I see. I'm afraid that this is not something we support at present. It's an interesting idea but there is quite a bit to consider behind the scenes for this. Maybe one day, but I'd not for the moment.

@oliverturner oooh. It's on March 19th. Let me take a look at the meetup site to see if I messed something up with some of the automated settings.

Thanks for the heads up!
