I admit it. I was wrong.
I thought he'd kill us all by letting his narcism incite a nuclear war.
Turns out he'll do it by mismanaging a global pandemic because he thinks smack-talking a virus on twitter is the best medicine.
👔 — Great ratings tho.

@HenriHelvetica @coder_blvck Oh that's very kind!
I'm not sure I can claim that title. 😮
But I try. And this is a wonderful list of people.

@mrwiblog Well quite. And I’m pretty smug about it.
This champion chap made a cherry choice of cheese to choose.

@MichaelThiessen @jlengstorf (Between you and me, that's my regular go to)

@Jack_Franklin I think I'll say "before"

@jlengstorf Full disclosure:
This is the endorsement I was hunting for.

@jlengstorf Should I also have mentioned the 40 year old tawny port?

@davidbrunelle I’m quite the dandy.

Found I had some weapons-grade mature cheddar in the fridge, so today for lunch I had a robust cheese board.
That’s fine, right?
It’s not weird?
Is it a bit weird?
I think it’s fine.

@_rndlph @smashingmag I massively agree!

There are 6 code examples in this video about getting started with the JAMstack. You can explore (and deploy) the code for each of them, plus find some related resources on this little gist:

@_rndlph @smashingmag Thanks! I appreciate it. 😊
I certainly agree that there are plenty of projects where it is not the right fit. But I've been surprised by the diminishing number of those when truly exploring.
My best agency projects with big brands, came from challenging those assumptions.

@_rndlph @smashingmag There is an overhead to hosting and maintenance which can be reduced.
You're right that it's not new. But the web has matured, providing greater opportunities thanks to services and APIs and more powerful browsers. So the term tries to help convey that.

@_rndlph @smashingmag I think I'd challenge the view that it is rarely acceptable.
The majority of sites on the web don't need their views re-rendered on the fly for every request. Or need a database. Think of how many WordPress blogs exist that hit a database for every view, but change infrequently.

@smashingmag Hoping this explainer and examples I just posted with @freeCodeCamp might help with that!

@Trippy_Monk @smashingmag I think that’s a fairly common misconception. In fact the JAMstack can be anything from a single html file to a rich client-side app.
I just published a video on this. First half hour is explaining the model, then into examples of growing complexity.
