@arranrp Oh! I misunderstood.
No, you need to use the continuous deployment process for that. It triggers various provisioning tasks for the lambdas for you behind the scenes.

@arranrp ...per site, per month.

@arranrp Yep. Functions are included in the starter tier.
(125,000 invocations per month included for free)

@seb_ly ...but I was preparing a whole sales pitch.
I was putting on a suit and everything.
You're already done?

@seb_ly Ooh interesting. Concurrency wouldn't be an issue. The CDN handles many billions of requests per month and very many thousands of request per second.
For bandwidth, the video looks like bulk of the weight, but served by YouTube. Might want to compress those big images though

@seb_ly Sounds like you'd be pushing a ready-built site so you'd never touch build-minutes quotas.
netlify deploy --prod
...and it's done.
Depending on your page-weight and expected epic traffic volumes...
Could be a job for... ⚡️dramatic music ⚡️... the free tier.

@seb_ly Please excuse my sales hat, but this sounds like exactly what Netlify is for.
Either via a drag/drop deploy, the CLI, or pointing it at your files or build in a repo on GitHub.
SSL is free, automatic and auto-renewing. Scaling is sorted.

I’m proud to be a backer of @eleven_ty. It’s a valuable project to me and so a modest monthly show of support was an easy decision.

@toddmorey Everyone loves their permanent "concrete fountain" until they see their electricity bill.

Week 2
- bricks and blocks loaded in
- exterior walls to window sill height
- scaffolding for ground floor
- exterior walls to lintel height
- single story wall topped out
- piers for steel over bi-fold doors
- more blocks and bricks delivered
- plenty of rain

@psd We’ve all been there.

@LondonCSS @stefanjudis @MikeRiethmuller I only knew it as an exclamation favoured by pirates and other characters. The etymology is new to me. Grim!

@codebeast Manager: "We need a chat"
Anyone: "uh-oh. What did I do?"
Manager: "You're doing great. Have a promotion!"
🎉🎉🎉
Congrats!

@yoanngrange Ha! Yeah!
Nice reminder, I should update that site now that I have tools like serverless functions and far easier hosting available to me.

So much good stuff here!
A lovely @eleven_ty project scaffold to use, explore, and learn from. https://twitter.com/elxaviben/status/1295032419431657472

This observation about the value of early content is absolutely on point. https://twitter.com/carriehd/status/1290293365582385153

@edwardhorsford Oh thanks. I think this should be fixed. Trailing comma after final array item in search index.

@DasSurma To be fair, this was one of the only tweets I’ve ever posted without an accidental typo. So you’re forgiven

@DasSurma The joke doesn't make sense without the typo.
