The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@chris22smith @boyney123 @Netlify Gotcha. I ask because those are things Netlify was designed to do. (I stopped using Cloudflare as soon as Netlify started proving free auto-renewing https)

@slicknet @Netlify We often get feedback that people would like to pay us, but find the first step is too high.

Meanwhile, it's worth noting that the paid plan gives you an unlimited number of sites and bandwidth limits which are through the roof.

(Pssst... but we hear you 🀐)

I'd love to see this list fill up with events happening in other parts of the world too. I bet there are events-a-plenty in India and Africa

@networklore @Netlify @gitlab It's worth knowing that those creds never get stored by us or even hit our servers. The auth happens between your browser and gitlab and is just used while setting up the site. Also, while zip uploads get your site deployed, all the good stuff & powerful workflows depends on git.

@networklore @Netlify I believe that this is down to the level of granularity of the Gitlab API. The same for Github if I recall correctly.

@shaunbent Yeah, I agree. It needs to be defined somewhere. I'm not very well versed in @gatsbyjs yet. I wonder if @kylemathews or some more knowledgeable Gatsby-ers have an approach to defining custom page listing orders that they prefer.

@shaunbent That depends on the SSG you use. Most have some way of iterating over collections ordered and filtered by an attribute of your choosing. Date, title, or arbitrary attribute you create for this purpose. Some people prepends filenames with numerals (not my preference)

Which SSG?

When it's funny, this is my joke, which I thought up all on my own.
When it's upsetting, I prefer to remind people that this is @SlexAxton's joke and I had nothing to do with it.
