The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@cackhanded Nice.

Hmmm. Not sure where that data is defined. I thought I'd specified everything.

@dawgawel Yeah! And it's nice that there is a page for this. Even if many won't access it.

@cackhanded I just redesigned/rebuilt my site. And launched without it in the spirit of "done is better than perfect".

But this is a helpful nudge. I'll roll that out. πŸ‘

@dawgawel Ooooh that's interesting!

As a site gets bigger, the larger its index becomes. So an approach like this is a nice way to get around that. And #serverless functions can deliver this backend with the need for a... uh... backend.

@hi_bz @eleven_ty @contentful I've enjoyed making sites with @contentful, and with @eleven_ty... I've not yet combined them.

The model is popular though - pull data during your build, then use it in templates.

@eleven_ty makes it very nice to get data for the build. I use it here:
