The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

Do you see it all the way back to the initial "test test" message?

@karin Seems like that remains the case until we @ her in the conversation. At which point the person gets to see. I gather.

@ppk Ooh this is VERY valuable information.

Not to self: Lucky I didn't use @ in all those DMs whispering about PPK behind his back.

Are Direct Messages in #Mastodon actually private messages or just replies?

Asking due to some uncertainty I'm feeling from the UI

@robhawkes Good to know.

Mostly I just want to be able to message someone here occasionally without shouting to the world.

@sturobson Yeah, that's what given me pause before sending my first DM. Some messages I thought were just replies to me appear in my DMs as I visit there for the first time.

@jaffathecake Somehow that half face crop always seemed current and accurate. Which is a miracle in itself. I’m mostly just jealous of that fact. I welcome and enjoy the latest JakeFace.

@peduarte @raycastapp Niiiice!

A bit like the “Deploy to Netlify” buttons we have that can bootstrap a new project on Netlify.

I’d love to happily graze that extensions repo and install things quickly via that.

@peduarte And you may already have something like this… but it would be great to have a button/link you could add to the readme of an extension repo which would initiate an install.

Or perhaps the ability to install an extension by pasting it’s GitHub url into a @raycastapp command

I'm being very lazy in this demo and not providing a default or a fallback. I guess I should add that.

@drzax @gregmore @Netlify If the original thing was Gatsby, my guess would be that it had a service worker which is aggressively caching something in your browser.

Are other people / browsers seeing the same stale thing?

Perhaps try deleting the service workers in your stale site view via web inspector

My silly old demo of how easily and readily a site could be deployed has morphed into a demo of how fiddly timezone data can now be provided for every user request with #Netlify Edge Functions
