The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@nhoizey @zachleat Totally.

I'm not suggesting that there is litterally no web server in the stack, more that the web server is not part of your problem space in this model as its job is handled for you automatically. Like how really, there are wires in wireless and servers in serverless.

@bhenbe @Netlify @vuejs @contentful @GoHugoIO @forestryio @NetlifyCMS There is certainly no silver bullet or single solution for all scenarios. But what you describe sounds like it could comfortably wear the #serverless or #jamstack label. Each case needs considering on its own merits, but often, previously accepted complexity can be designed away.

@ibrahimbutt93 @gatsbyjs @Netlify Delighted to hear that!

Curious about the "looked like more work" part. Are you referring to Gatsby or the prospect of getting set up on Netlify?

(asking for a determined design team 😏)

@mirshko @drewm correct. That branch goes no further. Typically I would kill it expect for the demo purposes it serves.

@mirshko @drewm aaaah! Ha ha ha!

I should kill that, as it has caught me out in the past too... but I like to keep it around for the sake of the demo. Find your way back to the greeeeen (and the master branch) via https://www.hawksworx.com/gimme-gimme
