@paulrobertlloyd @sallylait @eleven_ty @Netlify You could certainly self host that piece. It's a function that formats requests between a couple of different APIs. Events on @Netlify can post to any URL.
The point of this example and stack is to save you from needing to host anything though, so it's twisting the model a bit.

It makes me outrageously smug to receive the notification of a new comment as a buzzing slack notification in my pocket, and then hit a button on that notification to redeploy the site with its new comment all while I'm out buying milk.
It makes me outrageously smug to receive the notification of a new comment as a buzzing slack notification in my pocket, and then hit a button on that notification to redeploy the site with its new comment all while I'm out buying milk.
Rather pleased with the results of this approach which absorbs comments into the content of a site, rather than injecting them from a third party with JavaScript.

@Netlify's integrated CI already caches your dependencies between builds so that they do not need to be reinstalled. They are only reinstalled if a change to your package.json is detected. This speeds up subsequent builds significantly.

@TrentWalton @Netlify Excellent. That's how deployments should be. My favorite code fix and deploy was using my phone in my left hand while walking to a bus stop carrying some shopping.

One thing I do when practicing, is note how long has elapsed and add minute markers to the speaker notes at key stages of my talk. Then, as I present I can sense check my progress against my planned timing.
