@scottjenson @feather Marie Kondo would be proud.

@feather Thank you for this comprehensive disclosure.

@MoonlightLuke Faaaancy!

@feather Next moment of honesty... how many of those are pointing at things, and how many do you just refresh each year while thinking, “maybe this year I’ll make that idea I had for this domain” ?

@jasperketone Ha ha. Maybe I should just get some sort of application which plays an industrial click/crunch/snap at high volume on every key press.

@FakeLauraLouise Starting to get that sense.
Sounds like I need to stumble into a mechanical keyboard emporium and play with umpteen options and configurations.

@jasperketone Ha! That might not be ideal.

@ConnorHolyday @noopkat Totally with you on that. And by thunder, that’s a pretty looking keyboard.

@AndyDavies That’s what I thought. I’m hearing that there are many options with regard to level of click feel and sound.
Which makes me squint in the direction of those LOUD clackety-clackers even more!
The voyage of discovery continues.

@MightyBoosh_ I knnnewwwww it!

@ConnorHolyday Interesting! I’m completely green about this. I should dig around on types and configurations. (And that’s very kind)
Curious - have you tried a few before finding what suits you best?

@scottjenson @MsSammieRose Oh interesting.

@chrisdmacrae I find it hard to imagine wanting to move entirely away from some mechanical/tactical aspect... (As I type this on an iPhone!) but the draw of these customisable, retro clacking-clack keyboard still eludes me.

@scottjenson @MsSammieRose Longer travel and louder keypress both seem like a backwards step to me. But so many people whose opinions I respect seem to enjoy them.
Rather hoping that there is some attribute or experience that I’ve overlooked.
Perhaps it’s all just down to personal tastes.

@chrisdmacrae This all makes sense. I’ve enjoyed the trend to shorter travel distances on keys. So I’m a little uncertain about the apparent trend back to looooong travels. Feels like more “work” to my mind.

@MsSammieRose I work from home. But even so, that’s something that rather turns me off them (from my limited understanding)

@Benghamine Ha. I’d remember a time when this wouldn’t need to be expressed as a baseline. That’s a few years ago though, I guess.

@feather With regards to the specialism rather than the contract, this makes me think of the excellent @marcysutton.
Who, even if not available, might have thoughts on this.

@sarah_edo @brianarn And I want to start reveal increasingly ridiculous garments by “accidentally” standing up during calls.
(Um... Will this show up in my annual review?)

@sarah_edo @JakeDohm Hmm. Yeah. You make a good point. Ok. I suggest this update to our meeting protocol:
- Always be on time.
- No agenda, no meeting.
- Wardrobe check is item one.
