The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

With @Netlify Redirects, you can proxy every URL you're not serving to somewhere else.

Perfect for gradually migrating or adding JAMstack to your existing stack.

Watch me set this up in under 2 minutes for my own cheeky version of the @css home page.

@muzzlehatch_ Yeah, it does seem to be gaining momentum. Still some work to do to make it easier to understand what this refers to. As more people adopt the term, more interpretations seem to spring up. Interesting to witness though!

"By encouraging a separation between frontend and backend, and a reliance on Git for version control and user management, the JAMstack eases the workflow for building and delivering federally compliant websites."

@DennisView @Netlify That's right. In addition to performing lossless compression, the image optimization service handles the caching (and cache invalidation) of images for you using cloudfront under the hood. There's not currently an option to configure that beyond on/off. Unless you do it in build.

@danestves @RonaldsVilcins @Netlify There isn't a post-processing option for that... but you've given me an idea. That sounds like a great thing to make as a @Netlify Build Plugin.
