My friend and fellow @Netlify-er, @jlengstorf is giving a workshop with @smashingmag in 5 consumable, practical 2 hour chunks:
"Jamstack! Building Apps From Idea to Production in Hours, Not Weeks"
He is *great* at this stuff!
I'd recommend it!

@kmelve I'm leaning towards a glorious Yorkshire accent:
"eeee, commerce!"
"eeee, commerce!"

@anticdent What? The word used for making an online transaction for any goods or service is off limits?

I mean, we solved this at @jamstackconf NYC in 2019.
Q1 for the e*commerce panel...

@motleydev oooh. Curveball alert.

@DavidDarnes @HenriHelvetica Related: I'm putting together a glossary. This will be in it.

@jacobmparis Lol. I like this tweet a lot.
I agree with some sentiments too... except, like so many general rules it breaks down. There are bricks-and-mortar versions of many of those, and we refer to them differently. Mail !== email for instance.
Cannot argue with le phants, though.

@HenriHelvetica ha ha. Nope.
But I'm editing an article which uses a spelling of ecommerce which differs from what I thought was the norm. And I'd rather not step in it.
Help me, Twitter. You're my only hope.

@brucel I approve of this description.

@sil You should check your In-Box

@Eastmad David.

@aral One of the things I like about Jamstack is that pregenerated static assets are highly portable. Meaning that there are fewer ties to any given host.

@scottpdawson Yeah, that's what I do.
And sadly not, the image transformation happens when served via the CDN, so it's not possible to do that locally until it has been deployed.
I sometimes add redirects for nicer URLs. Then I can use them locally to get transformed assets via netlify dev

@aral Nice!
One small clarification about #Jamstack though... you don't need to use 3rd party APIs (or even 1st party APIs, or JavaScript) for a site to be Jamstack. Mostly, it is about pre-rendering so a site can be served directly from a CDN, and decoupling APIs if you have them.
