The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@deanleigh @sarah_edo There was more context... It's beautiful and effective, but it is someone else's branding.

@Niaccurshi Yep. I've seen that too & recognise that challenge. Designs that perform don't *have* to be more expensive. It's awareness of the medium.

@Niaccurshi That's my experience too. The question is, how do we improvement that? Clients need help to learn how performance can make/break UX and $$$.

@Niaccurshi It is hard to convince some clients of this. @pattytoland's talk at #btconf has data that is hard for clients to ignore.

@Niaccurshi If the design can't perform, then it isn't a design, it's art. Considering how our designs will work is a critical part of the process.

@Niaccurshi For sure. But you don't mean that lower budgets get no consideration for speed and performance, right?
