The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@sebastienlorber @Netlify FWIW, I still try be measured in what events I use to trigger builds. For instance, I used fire a build hook to Netlify from @contentful after every content save... which, I discovered, was every keystroke 😳

A quick tweak in Contentful changed that to fire just on publish. πŸ‘Œ

@JayIsAngry @smashingmag @ianfeather It's hard to genralize for every type of thing we might build for the web, but in general I tend to agree. And Ian's talk made that point rather well.

Says @ianfeather at #AllDayHey β€” "our monitoring tells us that around 1% of requests for JavaScript on BuzzFeed timeout. That's around 13 million requests per month."

A reminder if one were needed that we should design for resilience
