There have been a few people asking this. And we are tracking it in an issue for more consideration.
At present it isn't planned onto the roadmap as far as I can see. But we'll certainly shout about it if this does end up being a new feature some day.

@Farzad_YZ @JAMESSTONEco @biilmann @Netlify Git can help here. Many achieve this by having a release branch (which might be master but can be anything) and only merging tagged releases to that branch.
By setting this to be your production branch in Netlify, only your tagged releases get deployed.

@SaraSoueidan I often use youtube-dl to save videos from YouTube locally, then drag and drop the file into keynote. Works nicely.

This is a very light build but a deliberately excessive example to prove a point. Meanwhile it's also an example of a prerendered site architecture which avoids any execution on the server at request time. So under heavy load this is more energy efficient.

I really do like a sprinkling of lightning talks at a conference. These at @upfrontconf are another reminder that there are many ready to step up and share broader insights, perspective and new topics. Always refreshing.
