2. Just for gaming. I use my MPB with a nice 4k LG monitor for work, and PS4 for some games. But have resigned myself to never being able to play good city building / strategy games on my MBP.

@stevecomrie Yeah, I want to try to stay well below that. This will not be a work machine, but purely for gaming. Which is likely to be more demanding that the requirements I have for work, but harder to justify big bucks.
