The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@swyx @jkup @laurieontech @JSConfHi From about 13 years of tech conferences, I’ve developed a very strong personal preference as an attendee, speaker, and organizers for single track conferences.

But it’s just that: a personal preference. I see that some people have other preferences and reasons.

Waiting for the term “fake boos” to appear in desperation. But the stadiums full of people know that they are sincere. The boos are coming from all over the world, by the way, you goon. https://twitter.com/AdamParkhomenko/status/1190858446737936385

@AndyDavies @StuRobson Yeah, that's right. His blog post of the same name in 2002 was an influence on me. And I've been using his quote in talks advocating for pre-generating sites since 2012. (Although that was before the term #JAMstack came about)

@slightlylate Yeah. But I’d go beyond JavaScript.

I’ve been frustrated by inheriting the cruft and smells of a monolithic stack in the past.
When that is removed we get the power and the responsibility to make sites which perform appropriately.

I can muck that up with more than JavaScript.

Which is not to say that simply by being a #jamstack site, all our sites will automatically be fast. We get an amazing baseline and the power to not make things slow 🥳.

Something something responsibility. https://twitter.com/davatron5000/status/1190289613019058176
