@seldo @lawnsea That’s fair. But I loved Gene Wilder growing up. And thought his Wonka was haunting and brilliant. The big CGI musical set pieces in Burton’s version felt out of place to me. And I couldn’t get along with Depp’s pointless oddness. Maybe it’s the fondness of childhood memories.
