@markboulton @DavidDarnes @Netlify @eleven_ty Whether or not it speeds up your builds + deploys will mostly depend on what you do with those images in your build. (You don't *have* to use the Netlify image manipulations to do resizing etc - that's just a bonus).
Moving them out of your repo should speed up cloning step.
